Two Team Policy… As always, we feel a kid should play as much basketball as she can, or wants, to play. The Lehigh Valley Hawks, however, take priority over other teams with respect to practice and/or games.
Bottom line…. Work it out with your coach. But, don’t forget, you accepted an invitation to play on the Hawks after you knew our practice and tourney schedule.
General rule of thumb……. Talk to your coach if you have to miss. If you plan on playing on two AAU teams, then anything we do takes priority over your second team. Final authority always lies with your coach and it is up to him/her as to whether your playing time will be affected because of missed practices or games.
We understand that many high schools will be going into tourneys. Our schedule has built in some slack so that if we know in advance and can move kids around, then we will try to work it out. If you know of conflicts, we need to know. Bottom line, however, is that this is AAU season and you signed up to play with the Hawks AAU program. We set the rosters with preseason numbers and count on your support to make the season work for everyone.
We want to accommodate everyone but…… if we are short players because you played with another team, then you’re letting down your Hawks teammates.
