FYI….. By the time I called 15 hotels in State College, all were full. The reason for Altoona is because there is a lot to do there on off-times. They have a minor league baseball team that is playing home that week, two amusement parks, water park, laser tag, etc.
On July 5, we will all go to Penn State first, have an NCAA briefing, play one game. Then, we go to hotel, and come back next day to play. If we have down time, it will be nice to be able to take the girls to baseball game, park, etc.
Drive time is appx. 40 minutes from hotel to Penn State. We could have gotten rooms 30 miins away but there is not much to do in Lock Haven, Pa for the girls. |
